Dr Spark's Story

Kids Kabin Supporter

Kids Kabin benefits from the generosity, time and hard work of many, many friends and supporters. Dr. Michael Spark has been fundraising to support our annual trips to Seahouses for the last 15 years, giving hundreds of children the opportunity to experience the beautiful Northumberland coast — many for the first time. Thank you to Michael and the many other people who support in this way.

It was only a short time before I realised the true worth of the organisation, operating in a deprived area of inner city Newcastle upon Tyne. Kids Kabin offers a wide range of activities for young children and adolescents and seeks to set them in the right direction in life. The success of Kids Kabin is due to the leadership of Will Benson and it is now expanding into other areas.

Each year a group of young people come to stay at the Hostel in Seahouses for a short holiday, many have little knowledge of the seaside or countryside and to visit them during their stay, and to witness their obvious joy and happiness is a very rewarding experience. The Hostel

has a large adjacent play area which is a great asset at times when they are not swimming, rockpooling, or engaging in cricket or football on the beach. Every credit to the team who organise these events.

A job well done in every sense. My firm belief is that this is a charity worthy of great support.
