Update - February 8th, 2021.  Kids Kabin has restarted outdoor school workshops. Out of school workshops remain on hold. We aim to restart these in line with school reopening - on or shortly after March 8th, 2021.  In the meantime, we continue to offer home activity kits and Zoom workshops. What does Kids Kabin do?

Kids Kabin takes mobile trailer workshops into disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Newcastle upon Tyne and Middlesbrough and runs street pottery, cookery, woodwork and bike repair workshops for children.

Children, aged 7-13 years, take part in practical, hands on activities on their terms and in their streets.  They learn new skills and then share these skills, boosting their self-confidence and enabling them to play active and positive roles in their community.

Over the winter months, these street workshops move into local community centres or church halls.

“I realised that Kids Kabin was somewhere kids know they are wanted, feel free to express themselves and can be calm and relaxed. I saw this and wanted to share it with other children. Kids Kabin creates a sense of togetherness and community.”
