Kids Kabin is doing things differently due to coronavirus.  Some face to face workshops can now take place with small numbers of kids working in bubbles outdoors. We'll be in touch with all our parents individually to invite their kids to specific sessions of woodwork, pottery, gardening and art activities. We also continue to support children and families in other ways where we can, with home creativity kits, activity packs and online creative workshops.  Feel free to get in touch to find out more! What does Kids Kabin do?

Kids Kabin takes mobile trailer workshops into disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Newcastle upon Tyne and Middlesbrough and runs street pottery, cookery, woodwork and bike repair workshops for children.

Children, aged 7-13 years, take part in practical, hands on activities on their terms and in their streets.  They learn new skills and then share these skills, boosting their self-confidence and enabling them to play active and positive roles in their community.

Over the winter months, these street workshops move into local community centres or church halls.

“I realised that Kids Kabin was somewhere kids know they are wanted, feel free to express themselves and can be calm and relaxed. I saw this and wanted to share it with other children. Kids Kabin creates a sense of togetherness and community.”
