Kids Kabin is continuing to do things differently due to coronavirus. Following the latest restrictions introduced in the North East, we want to reassure families that we're still able to run small outdoor workshops following strict social distancing and hygiene practices. We're keeping a close eye on guidelines from the experts and will keep you posted as to any changes we may need to make as the situation develops. Your safety and security is our top priority. Feel free to drop us a line with any questions or concerns. Contact Will Benson on 07896 928 189 or email firstname.lastname@example.org.
Giving children and young people an opportunity to achieve and succeed through practical and creative activities
What does Kids Kabin do?
Kids Kabin takes mobile trailer workshops into disadvantaged neighbourhoods in Newcastle upon Tyne and Middlesbrough and runs street pottery, cookery, woodwork and bike repair workshops for children.
Children, aged 7-13 years, take part in practical, hands on activities on their terms and in their streets. They learn new skills and then share these skills, boosting their self-confidence and enabling them to play active and positive roles in their community.
Over the winter months, these street workshops move into local community centres or church halls.
“I realised that Kids Kabin was somewhere kids know they are wanted, feel free to express themselves and can be calm and relaxed. I saw this and wanted to share it with other children. Kids Kabin creates a sense of togetherness and community.”
