Thank you, thank you, thank you to everyone that took the time and effort to visit one of four local Tesco stores and vote for us in our Kids Can Cook campaign!
We won!
Thanks to your support, Kids Kabin won the highest share of the vote, meaning we'll be putting a whopping £1,500 Tesco Community Grant towards helping more of our members to become confident in the kitchen.
As part of this, young people at Kids Kabin will choose recipes, grow and buy the ingredients needed to make them, learn to cook them, and finally share these tasty and nutritious delights, and what they've learnt, with their friends.
And as an added bonus, we've also received a £150 community grant from Waitrose, which selected Kids Kabin as one of three local charities to support this summer. Amazing! But we still need your help.
Four more weeks of voting
Even bigger thanks if you've also chosen us in the Asda Foundation's Green Token Giving scheme's online vote, which may result in a £500 donation to support our members.
We're currently not in the lead though, so if you'd like us to win this one too, then there are four more chances to choose Kids Kabin.
What do I do?
Each week between now and the end of the month, visit asda.com/green-tokens, choose the Byker store from the drop-down box, cast your vote for Kids Kabin, then confirm your choice by clicking on the link in the email you'll receive. It's that simple. You don't even have to visit the store, and everyone still has four more votes before the poll closes.
We're currently on track to receive £400 for second place, but your support to help us to the hat trick means a lot.
