We're part of the Walker Workers, working with The Bostey among others, and we have not one but two Youthwork Apprenticeships available for young people aged between 16 and 25.
The successful young people appointed will join either The Bostey or Kids Kabin for one year, but will also undertake up to four short work placements with other organisations we work with in Walker and the east of Newcastle.
So, if you're interested in youth work, can work as part of a team, and either have or expect to get at least two GCSEs at level 5 or above, we want to hear from you!
Work 25 hours a week over four or five days depending on your circumstances, and get paid to learn with a salary of £11,583 per year (before tax), which works out as £8.91 an hour.
Travel costs for training and visiting other organisations will also be provided, and you'll get five weeks holiday a year, plus a proportion of bank holidays.
Find out more at our open day at both The Bostey and Kids Kabin on Monday, April 11th from 12 noon until 2pm, where you can talk to other youth workers about what they do and what it is like.
For an informal chat, call Will from Kids Kabin on 0191 295 3655 or 07896 928 189.
