Laura Bennett

Born and raised in Gateshead, Laura attended college and university in Newcastle, graduating her master’s degree in Ecology in 2018 before going on to qualify as a biology teacher with the University of Sunderland.

 

She has worked and volunteered with charitable organisations since 2011, having spent time as a community librarian, a Beaver Scout leader, and a ranger with the National Trust.

With a background in youth work and education, Laura is committed to the development of learning and growth for young people in an environment in which they can have fun and feel ownership of.

During her free time,Laura enjoys cooking and painting, and plans regular camping trips to go birdwatching across the UK and the Pacific Coast.
